Championnat du Monde du jeu de paume reporté en 2021

La Fédération Nationale du Jeu de Paume (NK-FNJP) et la Ville d’Ath ont décidé de commun accord avec les instances internationales de reporter d’un an l’organisation du Championnat du Monde du jeu de Paume.

Les organisateurs ont estimé que les risques étaient trop grands que plusieurs pays ne sachent participer compte tenu de la crise mondiale du covid-19. D’autre part, la situation de confinement empêche également les joueurs de s’entrainer, il était donc d’autant plus logique de prendre une décision similaire à l’Euro de Football ou encore les JO.

Wereldkampioenschap Kaatsen uitgesteld tot 2021

De Nationale Kaatsfederatie (NK-FNJP) en de stad Aat hebben in onderling overleg met de internationale instanties beslist om de organisatie van het Wereldkampioenschap kaatsen met een jaar uit te stellen.

De organisatoren zijn van mening dat het risico te groot zou zijn dat meerdere landen moeten afhaken rekening houdend met de wereldcrisis van het virus covid-19. Anderzijds kunnen de spelers zich niet correct voorbereiden omwille van de isoleringsmaatregel en was het dus meer dan logisch om dezelfde beslissing te nemen als voor de Europese Voetbalkampioenschappen en de OS.

World Championship ‘Jeu de paume’ postponed till 2021

The National Federation ‘Jeu de Paume’ (NK-FNJP) and the city of Ath have decided, together with the international bodies, to postpone the organization of the World Championships ‘Jeu de paume’ with one year.

The organizers are convinced that the risk was too big that a lot of countries would have to cancel their participation because of the world crisis covid-19. On the other hand, the players cannot prepare themselves because of the isolation measures and therefore it is more than logical to take the same decision as for the European Football Championships and the Olympics.
